PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION PICKS NEW LEGACY BOOK AS DONATION GIFT!

(Vancouver – October 14, 2015) The Prostate Cancer Foundation BC has chosen “Legacies aren’t (just) for dead people“**, a new book by author Robb Lucy, as a donation gift until Christmas. The book is available free to anyone who makes a $150.00 donation to the Foundation until December 25th. |
“During a man’s prostate cancer journey, he usually has a lot of questions” said Leah Lariviere, Executive Director of Prostate Cancer Foundation B.C. “‘What now? How will my life have meaning?’ That’s when they need a book like this. It helps to focus and give motivation.” |
“I have been down the prostate cancer road” said Lucy, “and I’d love to see the disease eliminated. I learned legacies can bring connection and happiness, now! Those who donate and read this book will find that too.” |
“Cancer puts things in perspective” says Larriviere, “and the book shows there’s nothing too insignificant to become a meaningful legacy. It shows how to create powerful legacies now, and it lays the groundwork for many others later.” |

This is Lucy’s first book after a career of journalism, private production and non-profit development (Make-A-Wish Foundation, sports history, literacy & now: prostate cancer awareness). “I found that people are yearning to make a mark” said Lucy. “The book teaches them how to create Legacies for their family, their community, or the world.” The book has received accolades from organizations like AARP, Rotary International, and CARP. |
