Demand doubles for SFU’s Digital Legacy Story Course
Simon Fraser University’s course – “Sharing Your Legacy Through Digital Storytelling” has sold out and has caused SFU’s Continuing Studies to offer a second course to meet the demand.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer Robb Lucy’s course again” said Mark Smith, Coordinator of SFU Continuing Studies. “Previous students told us the opportunity to develop both storytelling and technical skills was invaluable – even therapeutic – for them. They said the class helped them create powerful legacy stories for their families.”
The course is built from Lucy’s book “Legacies aren’t just for dead people!”
“There’s a huge interest in gathering and producing life stories, stories that are more often than not – lost” said writer and producer Lucy. “These are the stories that our descendants will read and watch… and learn about the lives we, their ancestors, led.”
The second Legacy Story course begins October 5 at SFU downtown. More information can be found here.
